Olympic Bulk Bags specialises in manufacturing and providing new and
used Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs).
We have been dealing in second hand FIBCs, also
known as bulk bags, since 2000. In 2008, we moved
into producing our own range of high quality, new
bulk bags.
Our bulk bags are manufactured
from the highest quality polypropylene and are
manufactured in a variety of sizes to meet our
clients’ specifications.
Our sizes range from 0.5
ton to 2 ton capacity.
From our warehouse in
Springs, we are able to cater for local clients as
well as international clients.
We supply our bulk
bags to anywhere in South Africa.
Our second
hand bulk bags are available in many different
sizes. Please contact us for a list of available
sizes.
FIBCs are made from woven
polypropylene and are used to store and transport
dry products.
These bags are available
as four types:
• Type A bulk bags are made
from uncoated polypropylene strands and provide no
static protection. These bags are
used to transport non-flammable products and are
packed, stored or unpacked in areas where there are
no flammable solvents or
gasses.
• Type B bulk bags are made from coated
polypropylene strands. These bags can be
used to transport dry, flammable powders. They
should not be used in areas where
flammable solvents or gasses are present, as they do
not provide very good static
protection.
• Type C bags are made from
polypropylene strands interwoven with conductive
threads. These bags can be used to transport
flammable powders and can be filled in
areas where flammable solvents or gasses are
present. These bags must be
grounded to in order to be filled in these areas.
• Type D bulk bags are manufactured from non-static
fabric. These bags can be used
to
safely transport flammable powders. They do not need
to be grounded when being
filled or
emptied in areas where flammable solvents or gasses
are present.
Olympic Bulk Bags manufactures
mainly Type C bulk bags.
